That’s very providential, because I had planned to send it out in the morning even though I couldn’t shake the feeling that someone needed it that night. When I tried to click the “schedule post” button, it wouldn’t work! I’ve never had that happen before, so I took that, combined with my sense that someone needed it, as a sign that I should just send it out that night. Praise God.
Having lost 2 sons, we can well understand the grief this widow endured. We can also understand the reasons for the good Saint to let her suffer through her grief in silence. An I’m sorry, a hug, then being left in peace are more than enough during this time.
We joined an organization called Compassionate Friends which is exclusively for parents who lost children and found a place where everyone understands and we can speak freely or just listen. If you’re ever in this space, look them up.
